About Gioia Mia Italian Greyhounds

Gioia Mia Italian Greyhounds, which means "my joy" in Italian, began in 1998. My dogs bring great joy to my life; with Jade, my first Italian Greyhound, my life was changed forever.  I feel truly blessed to share my heart and home with these very special and unique creatures.

My first showdog was Ch Winsome Roxie's Got Moxie and was proudly owner/handled to her championship. Gioia Mia's first litter, which was whelped in 2006, produced my first homebred AKC Grand Champion and winner of Best of Breed at the prestigious 135th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

As a hobby breeder,  I breed to produce dogs that are good tempered, healthy, sound and of correct type. Puppies are raised in my home in Dutchess County, New York and are members of my family. My breeding program is small and selective. I may, on occasion, have puppies available to pet homes.

I am a member, in good standing, of the Italian Greyhound Club of America and an AKC Breeder of Merit.
